Week 89

It was a sad week for our ward here in palermo, salta. Natanael, a 19 year old kid that was preparing to leave on a mission went into cardiac arrest. They rushed him to the hospital and when we found out we rushed there too. We found his mom there outside because they wouldn't let her pass because Natanael was in intensive care. he had a blood clot in his brain and they operated immediately. His mom was being strong even though the medics told her to expect the worst. The next day he was still unconscious and they were waiting to see the effects of the surgery. In the end he went into a coma and hours later was brain dead.

It was so weird to me to have been with him in church on sunday and then just 2 days later know that he is not here with us anymore. We really have to be strengthening our testimonies always because when something like that happens we are going to depend on that strength. How wonderful is it to have the restored gospel in our lives for the peace and hope that it gives us and how great is the necessity to share it with everyone. I really do love the gospel and being a missionary.

I know that this is a great cause and i know that theres much to do. i know that our father in heaven hears and answers our prayers and that he loves us. and he wants all of his children to return to live with him. I know that Christ is our savior and that his gospel is happiness.

Week 87

It was a great week. A lot of stuff happened, we had leader council with President Chaparro, i had my first zone training as zone leader, and we did exchanges with the APs.

As we were heading to the zone training we got to the chapel but we didnt have keys so we had to wait for the sisters to get there. Then out of the blue President and Sister Chaparro pull up beside us. They came to verify our training!!! haha but it was cool. We had an awesome training and i was pumped to teach.

We talked a lot about being happy and.... i forgot how to say it in english.. i think it would be like pumped up.. in the work. President explained to us that in missionary work we have a lot of tools: Preach my Gospel, the scriptures, members, etc. but if we are not excited and happy working those tools dont serve for much. And i think its the same with every aspect of life. If we do something i think we should always do it pumped up and it will always work out a lot better and we will be a lot happier.

We are trying our best here in palermo to encourage the members to join us in the work. We{ve been thinking, if every member were to take one friend to church thats not a member already what a difference would it make in missionary work. So thats my challenge to you guys. To invite a friend to church. even if they say no we will have done our part by inviting them!

Love you all tons!
