Week 67

Hey guys! Well another killer week has come and gone here in Tucuman Argentina.

This has been a great week we are seeing a lot of progress in our investigators.
This week we have done a ton of contacts. We must have clapped half the houses in our area haha. Contacts are so great here in this part of the world you clap your hands at the house and you never know who is going to come out. To me the idea of a contact is so interesting. We have a couple of seconds to try to convince them, or in other words we have the spirit so that they feel something in their hearts and let us in to teach them. I know that there are people out there looking for the gospel, looking for peace, looking for help. They just don't know where to find it.

Its so great to be a missionary. I wouldn't rather be anywhere else in the world.
Sorry not much time this week but keep cool catch ya'll next week!

Week 66

Dax didn't have time to write a weekly email this week.  So here is the updates I got.

Today was transfers, and Dax has a new companion named Elder Rudder from Nampa, Idaho.  He is super excited to be serving with him.  His mini missionary actually left on Friday to go home because he received his real mission call to the Lima, Peru North mission.  He was sad to see his time end with Daxton.  They had a good time together, but he is excited to begin his full time mission.

Dax is very happy, and loving his mission so much!!

Mi compaƱero, Elder Rudder from Idaho!

 Bye Elder Chahalis...

 Happy Easter!!!

 I found donuts today,
they were really yummy!

Here are some surprise pictures that we got this week of Dax:
I have been really jealous of all the mom's with missionaries serving state side that get random pics sent to them from people in the areas their kids are serving in.  Well, this week I was sent this cute random pic from a Sister in Argentina in Daxton's area.  I was sooo excited.

Then I received a message on Facebook from a guy that lives in Daxtons area.  He wanted to let me know how much he liked Daxton, and what a good missionary he was.  He said he loves having him in his home.  It makes me so happy to know there are good people who look out for my missionary. Daxton said Exequiel is one of his best friends in this area :).  Exequiel sent me a friend request on Facebook, and I found this cute picture of Daxton on his Facebook page :).  I am so proud of Daxton and the great work he is doing!  He loves his mission so much!!!

Week 65

The other day I was thinking about how great it is to be a part of this church. Even greater is the opportunity that we have to share it with other people.

The members here are awesome they are helping us a ton to be able to find new investigators and help them progress towards conversion. So always be looking for people to share the gospel and give references to the missionaries!!

This week on Saturday we had a huge activity called Trip to Vegas. We had everyone board the plane (sacrament room) and when they got out we had food and games and gambling and a ton of other stuff for them to do. Then when they all finished we boarded the plane again to return to Argentina but the plane crashed and everyone died. Their fate depended on the decisions that they had made in there time in Las Vegas. some went to spirit prison, others to paradise.

I hope all is well for all of you and that you all have lots of opportunities to not only share the gospel in words but also in actions. If you will pray for opportunities to serve those around you God will give you them.

It was super fun!!

Week 64

Daxton didn't have much time this week on the computer.  He got on long enough to email the mission president and say hello to me so I didn't worry.  They were trying to hurry and get downtown to get jerseys made for the zone.  He is pretty excited about those jersey's :).

He did let me know that he is very happy and loving his mission.  He also was good enough to send me one picture.  Too bad he wasn't even in the picture.  It brings me great joy to see his testimony grow, and to see how happy he is serving the Lord and the people of Argentina :).

Bread, Mate, Dulce de Leche, and Scriptures :)
